It has more barriers to reach my window in the city, but there's the split instant when it does, when it pours through as though it were there all along. (It was there all along).
Like when you are sad and that moment when you can see the light again, when the time for being sad is over, and in the words of pencilfox: "feel it, then move on." and you move on. Past the buildings, streaming into some open window, all the happiness that was there all along. The sadness was appropriate, was necessary, was as deep as the buildings are tall. But the sun crests over the buildings at some point. It's the law of the universe, the way it was set up to be, the changing seasons, the rising and setting of the sun. Everything has a time, and a place, uncontrolled by us, deeply felt by us. What glorious order of the universe God has set into place, for us, for His glory.
sweet reminder: amen.
